    When will Microsoft release an official xbox emmulator/console


    I have been playing xbox games since first gen Xbox.

    The Xbox broke after years of use.

    The 360 broke after years of use.

    I have disks for those consoles that are favorite games that I can't play.

    I understand the crackdown on emmulators that allow people to play games they never owned.

    But surely they can come up with a way for people to insert old disc based games.

    Maybe an Xbox emmulator app you can download to your PC or latest gen console that allows the PC or console to read your physical disc.

    Or maybe a $50 external device you connect to your console or PC that allows you run old games.

    I'm not trying to steal games... I just want to play what I already own.

    It's been available for years. Xbox Backwards Compatibility on 360, Xbox One and Series

    The consoles already can use the discs

    You will almost certainly never see a generic official emulator for locked down game consoles.

    eBay sellers are calling Xbox One with 1TB drive as "XBox One X" or "XBox 1X" for short. AFAIK - Microsoft never offered an "XBox One X"

    Xbox One X is a genuine Microsoft console. It was officially released in November 2017 with a limited number of pre-orders being released as a Project Scorpio edition.
    Another limited edition of the console was the Cyberpunk Edition.

    The Xbox One X was released as Microsoft`s most powerful console to date at the time.

    If the release date is any later than the 5th...

    It doesn't change anything, you can still play your game on day one even if the console is released after, we are talking days not weeks.

    Plus you are getting a better version of a game than the older consoles, even then it's not Microsoft releasing the game early, be mad at Activision & Infinity Ward. I really think that they will change the release date when they know the official release.
