As additional information, I can tell you that one of the ways to know when your account was created is to have a welcome email from Outlook or Hotmail.

There is nothing that can be done once an accounts date of birth is put in on an account that is the date of birth of the account and can not be changed.

When I created my Microsoft account it didn't link to my Xbox Live account and it created a new one. How can I get rid of this new xbox account and link my old one?

The Microsoft account is also an Xbox account.

If you want to create a new Xbox account, it's only possible to create a new Microsoft account.

"EXACT DATE" When you created Your Xbox.com Account but i`ve been looking into this so you can find a way to
Narrow it down for you so here are some ways to Narrow it down.

Tenure counter on Xbox Live, Tenure increases every time a full 12 months of Xbox Live Gold time have elapsed on the account. This is one way. You can also See
360 purchase history to check the First item you downloaded on Xbox.com For Example. My first item downloaded was on 28/02/2009.

Make sure to select "ALL" when you are on your purchase history there will be
title then content type then date.
Make sure you look at date and keep scrolling down to the very bottom of the page until the list of your purchase history stops. Look at the date when you purchased it.
