    When using Remote Play with LTE data, it does not show video or audio (Black Image)


    When using Remote Play with LTE data, it does not show video or audio; however, the console appears to be in active mode as if it were correctly sending video. When I use my home WiFi, it works, but when I use another WiFi outside my home, it does the same thing. Everything remains black without showing anything.

    I have tried it on different phones and browsers, but it does the same thing. I am in Skip Ahead and this has been happening for about 2 months now.

    Does anyone else experience this?

    Remote play only works when I’m on the same network now.

    Sorry it took so long to reply but I had to work a lot this week.

    Anyways, I tried all of the above and it still does not work. When I connect through wifi on my network it works right away with no issues. When I use my unlimited at&t data, or friends wifi or works wifi it doesn't work, and it use to work on all of those. Side note the remote control works on the app weather i'm on wifi or data so it's definitely seeing my xbox. Remote play still nothing but a black screen. If I could upload a video here I could show you but there doesn't seem to be a way to do that.

    What exactly is happening when you start the remote play? Is it just not turning on? Is it freezing? Are you getting a black screen? Does it work sometimes and other times it does not? I want to see if we can check the issue against the troubleshooting list here: Troubleshoot remote play gaming | Xbox Support

    This breaks it down into a few sections like:

    • FAQ
    • Audio/Video
    • Network Issues
    Because it worked before but is no longer, I think were probably in the realm of network issues if you have not changed any major setting prior to this conversation. I don't see any reason why your Audio/Video would suddenly stop working if you console, phone, and all your devices are updated. It may be as simple as a NAT type change which can often happen when internet connections fluctuate. when you run the "Tst Remote Play" option on your console, are there any factors that are red in the list?

    Hello Paxton, what kind of device are you doing remote play for, for a PC, or for a mobile device?

    Are you doing remote play on the same home network as your home, or would it be from an external network?

    Remote play requires a lot of data compression for video and audio, depending on your network type, compression and audio transmission may be compromised for a few moments.

    So basically you can’t use Remote play anywhere, and how is 4G and plus not strong enough for remote play even when you stay in the same spot? I heard all you need is 10 megs upload in order to play remote play and you get way more than that over a good solid LTE or 5G connection.

    Xbox One and Amazon Prime Video.

    Same problem here in the US for maybe 3 weeks or so. Black screen when I try and play videos. Still have audio and controls show up on the screen. I've tried all the resets / reboots etc... Notice a lot of comments on amazon forums as well but no solutions.
