    When trying to play backwards compatible games, my modern xbox/MS accounts password is too long


    When I play a backwards compatible game the game wont let me use my current xbox profile login because my password is strong, and the password field on login for backwards compatible games is only 16 characters. It stops at 16. My password is 18.

    I recently changed my gamertag on xbox one and made a longer password now when I go to play a 360 backwards compatible game on xbox one it says I have to re download profile so my gamertag will change but my password for live is too long on 360

    The one thing that was not answered for you and this is assuming that the game is a 360 backwards compatible game and you are trying to do this on a xbox one is this.

    The ONLY way to use MS account currency to purchase anything backwards compatible would be to do it directly on a xbox 360 itself you can not use MS account currency to purchase backwards compatible items on a xbox one or on the MS store online.
