    When trying to launch a game from xbox app it takes me straight to Microsoft store


    So i think this started happening when i turned off my recurrent billing, but i still have a week of subscription left. Whichever game i try to launch, i always get to the Microsoft store, Gaming services app. Tried repairing and resetting the app, still the same thing. Very annoying, especially if it's normal practice when you try to cancel or downgrade a sub...

    Hi there lesgurkko welcome to the community forum! Christopher here, an Xbox fan just like you and has been on Xbox for years already. I would really love to make your day by helping you out. Well, I suggest you try this:

    Open the Settings app it is the gear in the start menu.

    Open Accounts

    Click Sign-in Options

    Scroll down to Privacy

    Uncheck "Use my sign-in info to automatically finish setting up my device and reopen my apps after an update and restart."

    Restart your PC!

    Can anyone help me with my xbox app not installing/launching games?

    I've tried to install apps from Microsoft store like whatsapp and they have installed and launched perfectly fine but when trying to launch a game that was installed on the xbox app like dragon ball fighters z it pops up with the error code 0x803f8001.

    The name of the bug report is "[Xbox Forum] Can anyone help me with my xbox app not installing/launching games?"

    If the game has downloaded completely, but will not launch from the Installed Games sidebar in the Xbox app, please try launching the title from the Start menu or the Microsoft Store on Windows.
