I finally managed to fix it

By downloading the runtime and installing it manually

Go to, its a website to get the direct download of Microsoft Store downloads: https://store.rg-adguard.net/

Enter this link, the link for the runtime taken from Store: https://www.microsoft.com/store/productid/9NBLGGH4RV3K?ocid=pdpshare

And download the x64 file: Microsoft.VCLibs.140.00.UWPDesktop_14.0.32530.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe.appx

After the download, rename the file "1.appx"

In PowerShell, use the command: Add-AppxPackage -Path "ENTER FULL FILE PATH HERE"

Make sure to type out the full path to file that just downloaded i.e. "R:\1.appx"

After the command has finished, go back to the Xbox app

And then your download/update should work

Please also make sure that all the updates from the Microsoft Store are installed. You can do this by opening the Microsoft Store app and then go to Library > Get updates.

I solved the problem after repeating the different steps more than 10 times

I have followed your instructions to the letter, but unfortunately the problem persists.

I got an update from Gaming Services, and since then when I want to install a game from GamePass PC or Windows Store, the download stalls at 0% with the Visual C++ 2015 UWP Desktop Runtime Package telling me if be installed on each installation attempt.

I also reinstalled the Xbox application, deleted the Gaming Service and reinstalled it, unchecked the ipv6 of my network... all without success. I've already reinstall Visual C++ 2015, without success too .

I've never had a problem in over 4 years of Gamepass.

My Windows 11 is up to date. Can you help me ?

Many Games I am able to download. Others not so much. For example:

Farming Sim 22, Flight Sim, DB Fighter Z, Grounded, Total War Warhammer 3, Jurassic World 2, Stardew Valley, Outriders

do not work.

They always stay at 0% and the "mircosoft visual c++ 2015 uwp runtime package was installed" pop-up appears.

Please test these and other games and confirm.
