    I cannot add a credit card or debit card for Xbox purchases.

    When trying to add any credit card or debit card as a payment on my Xbox I get the message, "Your bank couldn't authorize this payment method." When trying to add any credit card or debit card as a payment on the Microsoft website, I get the message, "Check
    the info you entered. It doesn't match the info for this card.".

    I get the same message with any card I have. I have tried this with several known-good cards, and absolutely
    none of the cards can be added. The only way I can buy anything on the Xbox is with Xbox gift cards.

    This started a few months ago. Prior to that it was working fine. I did not change anything on the XBOX.

    debit card not accepted

    All to my knowledge you can not add a Debit Crad you can only use a Credit Card. When you try adding the debit card to the account and you are getting the error message BC the system only takes credit cards

    Hi HamasahA! Sorry to hear about what happened. Let's do our best here to sort this out.

    To further isolate the issue, do you have another credit/debit card you could try to add into your account? Preferrably an international credit/debit card.

    Please also try adding your payment method to a different account. If you're getting the same error on a different account, I am afraid that your payment method may not be supported anymore by Microsoft.

    Sorry to hear it. Unfortunately a debit card is not a valid payment option for the service. Please try to add a valid credit card or paypal to use as an alternate payment method.

    This could mean that the billing address for your payment option is incorrect. To fix this issue, make sure the correct billing address is listed on the payment method you're trying to use:
    Sign in to your Microsoft account.
    Microsoft account
    Click Payment & Billing, then Payment Options.
    Under Payment Methods, select the payment method you tried to use to make the purchase.
    For credit cards, debit cards, and direct debit, do the following:
    Select View or edit card and adjust the billing address as needed.
    Select Save when done.
    For PayPal, do the following:
    If the email address is incorrect for the PayPal account, select Remove Account.
    Select Add a new payment method.
    Select Credit Card or PayPal.
    Follow the instructions to set up your credit card, debit card or re-add your PayPal account as a new payment option using the correct billing address.
    Note Edit debit cards as you would a credit card (not available in all locales).
    You will now be able to complete the transaction.
