    When playing Minecraft I try to allow friends and joining multiplayer but, it won't let me.


    Should have described it more. Even though I have it on allow for both of those things in the Microsoft privacy settings. It still won't work. Its not a problem with Minecraft itself its that it won't update so I can do those things.

    Your friend needs to check if his account privacy and security allows for multiplayer gaming.
    it only happens on minecraft, he can play online on other games, and he can play online on minecraft but only when people join him, he can't join others

    I'm having the same problem but it also won't let me add them back. In my minecraft world it will say they aren't my friends when they join and I try to add them back but it doesn't work.
