When is the “copy link” feature coming back to gamebar

This isn't true,

My friend is able to Select "Copy Link," it then uploads his clips to the Xbox servers and provides him with a shareable link.

My Gamebar however, does not show the "Copy Link" button that he has for some reason.

open apps and features under settings, locate gamebar and uninstall. once done restart your machine, then open the windows store and search for gamebar and install, restart machine again when done.

gamebar is part of the OS, your microsoft account is also the xbox account, they are seamless, gamebar is always running and signed in when you are signed in on the laptop or pc. if you disable gamebar in the setting it will re activate when a feature update is installed. this is normal.

it will be even more integrated with windows 11 including gamepass. it uses practically zero resources .



don't forget, windows 10 is now a service that is freely available, long gone are the days of a traditional OS, you agree to the terms when signing in and using it, this includes all the gumph that comes with it.

if this is not what you want then you may need to move to linux or mac (mac is even worse)

Ok thats what I thought but I dont realy understand the decision.

First of all: Wich App should I use now? The Xbox App or the Gamebar? There are two Apps installed on Windows that have the xbox Party Feature and both of them are lacking in different Features. In the beginning I used the Xbox App, but than oneday all Party
and Game Invitations only appeared for the Xbox Game Bar even when it was disabld in Windows-Settings. That made me switch to the Gamebar. In the Gamebar i was missing Features like seeing who is in a friends party and they adde back a private Voice chat like
on Xbox 360 wich made zero sense. on the Xbox App on the other hand I cant see my friends beeing in a party in the friendlist anymore, also it has no voice overlay and as I mentioned before I get all the Invites for the Game bar even if disabled.

Edit: Also I wanted to mention its still possible to start partys with the xbox app on PC, Smartphone and tablet so why removing the feature for PC players from the Gamebar?

reinstalling gamebar will not restore the folder location, you need to run the bat file i linked to, this will restore the captures folder back to default.
