    When I turn my xbox on, my screen is completely blank unless I choose to power it off


    I was at my Dad's when this happened, and I turned on my xbox -one x if it helps- but then the dashboard wouldn't show up. I decided to restart my console as it was the first thing that would come to mind to fix this. After restarting which took about
    5 minutes, it showed an error message saying 'For some reason the dashboard took too long to load'. I've restarted it 4 times now and I have had no luck. I would appreciate some response as you have no option to call support or have an online chat with someone.

    When at the dashboard push both view button and start button at same time and refresh the dashboard.

    I would like to thank you very much for the quick reply. the dashboard is working fine now but when trying to sign in with my account which has the lock it down function on, simply stays loading, but while I used my sister's account, which does not need
    a password to log in, it signs in a bit sluggishly but works nevertheless. is there a thread I could find on support? Thanks again

    This troubleshooter, TV screen is blank solutions has several steps you can try
    to resolve your issue.

    Also try, reset console power supply by removing power cord for a few minutes and turn on again.

    While you reset console power you could also power cycle your network hardware.

    Hello I have turned on my Xbox this morning and the dashboard is working fine, the mini menu is fine (except for unloaded game and app icons) but when trying to load onto a password protected account, it simply stays loading. I have a feeling this might
    be more of a software and hardware problem rather than the one off bug you encounter. Is there a place where I might be able to get my console repaired? Many Thanks :)
