Help us find your usage data
We can't process your refund until we find out how much DARK SOULS™: REMASTERED has been used. Get more info. Make sure all the devices you installed the item on are powered on
and signed in to your account. All copies of the game or app must be closed. To close the game on Xbox, press the Menu button and select Quit. To close it on your PC, select the X in the upper right of the window. If you continue to get this message, try restarting
    your devices.

    :)

  2. The ability to sell digital games

    Hi,

Recently on the insider program Self-service refunds were released and only insider members have access to it. I am sure it will be released soon for the public.

    Information;

    To request a self-service refund:

    • Navigate to account.microsoft.com and sign-in.
    • From the top menu bar, select Payment & billing > Order history.
    • Navigate to a purchased game or app, and select Request a refund.

Please note the below conditions for requesting a self-service refund:

    • Games and apps are eligible for self-service refunds within 14 days of purchase if you have less than 2 hours of play time across all accounts.
    • DLC, season passes, and add-ons are not eligible for self-service refunds.
    • The game or app must be downloaded and launched before requesting a self-service refund.
    • You must wait for at least 1 day after the game or app’s release before requesting a self-service refund.
    • Certain Windows 10 apps may not be eligible for self-service refunds.
    • Microsoft reserves the right to block access for users who abuse self-service refunds.

    Happy Gaming!

    New refund system not working

There are some restrictions with the refund option:

    • Games and apps are only eligible for refunds within two weeks of purchase if you have less than 2 hours of usage across all accounts on that device.
    • DLC, season passes, and DLC are not eligible for self-service refunds.
    • The game or app must be downloaded and launched at least once before requesting a self-service refund.
    • You must wait at least one day after the game or app's launch before requesting a refund.
    • Certain Windows 10 apps may not be eligible for a self-service refund. Presumably at developer's requests.
    • Microsoft emphasizes that it reserves the right to block access for users who abuse self-service refunds. So, people who repeatedly purchase, then refund games simply to test them out are likely to find themselves with a ban.
If what you're trying to refund does not fall into one of those catagories, you'll need to contact support and speak to billing. 1-800-4my-xbox if you're in the US/Canada or Contact Us | Xbox Support

I recently was added to the Self Service refund program via a Xbox Live message. So I went to refund my first game through my Microsoft Order History page but it's giving me the usage data error. This is for Dark Souls Remastered. I tried opening the game
to see if opening the game would register usage data and fix the issue but it didn't fix it. It was for about a min total. Any idea how to fix this issue?

Bought a game which is not working and cannot get a refund!

    Hi Moshe Pupkin,

It does seem strange that it would give you a region error, especially when all your settings are set to one region.

Im assuming when you say "their" site, you are referring to an Xbox Store site and not a 3rd party site?

MS however does have a process in place along with some terms and conditions for refunds.

    1. Navigate to account.microsoft.com and sign-in.
    2. From the top menu bar, select Payment & billing > Order history.
    3. Navigate to a purchased game or app, and select Request a refund.
