When I try and install a game from the xbox app it does not see how much disk space I have.

Hi, I've just had this same issue, and with no idea why this error popped up, I contacted Microsoft support and a support agent got the app to work for me, I followed these steps.

Open: - “registry editor” and go to this path: -



Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\xinputhid



and delete the two folders: - “parameters” – “state” -

now close regedit, and open up the "settings app", and go to "app's" - "installed apps" - "search apps" - enter "xbox" - now click on the three dots and click on "advanced options" - now click on "terminate" now once that's done click on "repair" - once that's done - click on "reset" - open the xbox app again and see if you can now select which drive to install you're game onto, apprarently this is a bug within Windows 11.

If you don't want to follow these steps contact Microsoft through windows its self - click search and type in "get help"

Yes, I tested all of my drives. I was able to install an owned game, Minecraft, but I cannot install a game pass game.

I moved the .gamingroot file to E: and it still does not work.

I didn't mention that you need to create a windowsapp folder, just need the .GamingRoot file in the root of the drive

I don't have a WindowsApp directory or .GamingRoot file in any of my drives.
