When i start the xbox assist app it will show a grey screen and will only show the cursor

Hit a 'windows' key to get back to the start screen, then put your mouse cursor in the top left of the screen, a box with all open apps will show, click on the one you want.

No errors were found when troubleshooting and the error message is gone but upon launching it will start the game but freeze as soon as the menus loads, and other times upon launch it will show as a black screen with my cursor showing as the blue loading circle then the crash menu pops up saying the basic "Close app" and "Wait for response". I will try uninstalling and reinstalling the game and possibly that will fix it.

I know this is happening to me to but the Microsoft edge cursor shows up on my game screens and just sits there. And when i watch something on Microsoft edge and full screen and then i undo the full screen and the whole top search bar it gone

I have the same issue, I have white and grey controllers and the grey one is showing white in the app.

Okay, so, after the green xbox screen, it would normally highlight the first pin with a grey highlight around it. Instead it highlights the whole menu with recent games played, news, etc. The cursor does not move on its own the highlighted area becomes
normal after a little while or when i press a button on the controller.

As for the gibberish its almost like the console has codes preinstalled in the systems memory instead of simply not knowing what for example XRK37 is. When i had my s, it wouldn’t show any suggestions when typing a code. Hope this helps.
