When I speak why do people hear me barely then loud then barely

Hello Hi, are you playing on the console or on the PC?

If it's on your console, are you using an Xbox-originated controller?

What type of Headset is connected to your controller?

About the screech it's not very loud you can barely hear it. It doesn't do it when the hard drive is out and I'll try the other things right now.

I have tested on upload studio and the mic sounds fine but when Im in a party people can barely hear me that use kiect. I've also used on other items and the mic is pretty loud. Do you think you could be the chat adapter or is it just a feature they need
to implement better?

Dark Souls barely has a story from what I hear, so why are people recommending that when "depth of storyline" is something the OP is looking for?

I'll recommend you do a power cycle to clear the system cache

- Turn off your console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds, until it shuts down completely.

- Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 2 minutes.

- Plug the console power cable back in. Press the Xbox button on your console to turn it on and check if the headset works now.

If that doesn't help, I'll suggest you try doing a factory reset keeping games and apps on your console. This will refresh the console and remove all potential bugs without deleting any game data.

- Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

- Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

- Select Reset console.

- Choose Keep Games and Apps

Once that is done, you'll need to sign into the console using your Microsoft account credentials. If the issue is with your console, that should fix it.
