Sorry about what you are going through and you could try following up these steps to fix it.

The adaptor is not receiving power. Unplug the USB connector and then plug it in again. If there’s still no light, try plugging the adaptor into a USB port on the front of the console. If it’s still not working, the adaptor might be experiencing a hardware failure and needs to be replaced.

The headset works fine in other devices and when plugged into the front audio port on my pc. The static only occurs when it is plugged into my xbox one controller, and the controller port worked fine until I updated drivers.
