When i open the minecraft launcher, it gives me an error code and i don't know what to do...

You can try a few troubleshooting steps that have worked for some players.

Please, reset the store and try installing the game again.

To Reset the Store, Press the Windows Key + R > Type WSReset.exe and press Enter.

Then, on the Microsoft Store, type your game name: "Minecraft".

Close the store and reopen it.

Load the game page and click on "Install".

In case it does not work, please, look for the purchase in your Transaction History.

And when you try to open the Minecraft Launcher, do you receive any error message or it just does not open?

I did contact support already and they told me to update and get something that I think was called windows media. I am on windows and I'm trying to play Minecraft java edition. I get this error when I open the Minecraft launcher it gives me that error.

Thank you so much for responding to my post! At first checking for updates worked and it took it out of "pending" but when I try to open the launcher to actually download the game, it gives me this:

"Minecraft Launcher is currently not available in your account. Make sure you are signed in to the Store and try again. Here’s the error code, in case you need it: 0x803F8001"

Even though I am signed in, it gives me that message. I tried signing out and signing back in and making sure there are no updates.

i went on the apps and features and selected the advanced options for Minecraft launcher and all other Xbox related things i could find and the Xbox live popup for the launcher still gives me the same error code
