    I reset my console because the screen went dim but kept my games and apps. When I went to log back into my Xbox live account it would say it required an adult account even though it was an adult account. However later when I tried again it signed in with
    my Xbox live and Microsoft account email address but created a new xbox live account (). This means that I cannot play the majority of my games as they were purchased off the xbox live store and just says 'do you own this game or app'. Is their
    any way that I can get my old xbox live account back so that I can play my xbox store downloaded games. Thanks

    I am not sure how it happened. I already had a Microsoft account. When I got my xbox I created an account and got a gamer tag while setting up my xbox. I signed up for xbox live from my xbox using my existing gamer tag and Microsoft account. I then went
    to xbox live and signed in using my Miicrosoft account, and for some reason when I did this a new gamer tag was created and associate to my Microsoft account. So, now when I log into xbox live I see one gamer tag. But on my xbox I have a different gamer
    tag.

    Hello,

    Are you 100% sure you logged in with the Email that made that account? A brand new gamertag will ONLY be made if that email is not attached to the Gamertag.

    https://support.xbox.com/en-US/contact-us might be able to help you figure out which email is attached to your main gamer tag.

    Are you 100% sure you logged in with the Email that made that account? A brand new gamertag will ONLY be made if that email is not attached to the Gamertag.

    https://support.xbox.com/en-US/contact-us might be able to help you figure out which email is attached to your main gamer tag.

    First time trying to use my Xbox with my only microsoft account!

    Every Microsoft account has a gamertag added to it when you visit Xbox.com or log in on an Xbox with it.

    You can not create an Xbox account with a Microsoft account with an existing Xbox account on it.

    Please go to Xbox.com on your account that you are trying to create a new account with and at the top right it will show you your gamertag - most likely randomized if you did not choose it.

    You will need a new email address to create a new Xbox account with, and it can't be the one you are trying to use unfortunately.

    Xbox accounts can NOT be moved between Microsoft accounts BUT you can change the login email around if none of the emails you are switching to are Hotmail, Live mail or Outlook mail by this method:

    You can switch the email you want to log in with to the new account if it's not one of those three mail addresses (since they are Microsoft emails) and you'll need a third to use temporarily on the first account to free up the first email for use on the
