When I launch Fortnite, my ENTIRE pc freezes on the easyanticheat menu

To reinstall EasyAntiCheat, there should be a folder within the Fortnite installation folder called EasyAntiCheat and inside there should be a file called EasyAntiCheat_Setup.exe. If you run that, you should be able to install it again.

The game no longer works on my pc either, freezing on the main menu. I also have a G3258 cpu. I'm guessing they made some changes to the engine code that makes it entirely incompatible with cpus that only have 2 threads.

Then, could you repair the EAC Installation?

You can find it on Fortnite folder installation. (Drive:\Epic Games\Fortnite\FortniteGame\Binaries\Win64\EasyAntiCheat)

Right-click the file and select Run as an Administrator.

Once open, click the Repair Services button.

This error, EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION, is often due to a problem with your computer’s memory or graphics card. Here are some steps you can take to try and resolve the issue:

1. Update your graphics drivers: Go to your graphics card manufacturer’s website and download the latest drivers for your model. Install them and restart your computer.
   
2. Verify your game files: In the Epic Games Launcher, go to your library, click on the three dots next to Fortnite and select “Verify”. This will check for any corrupted or missing game files and replace them.
   
3. Disable Fullscreen Optimizations: Right-click on FortniteClient-Win64-Shipping.exe, choose “Properties”, navigate to the “Compatibility” tab, and check the “Disable Fullscreen Optimizations” box.
   
4. Repair EasyAntiCheat: let’s start by locating and repairing the EasyAntiCheat file.
   

• Hold Windows key and press E.
  

• Type C:\Program Files\Epic Games\Fortnite\FortniteGame\Binaries\Win64\ EasyAntiCheat in the address bar and press Enter.
  

• Go To The Fortnite Folder and Locate EasyAntiCheat So You Can Repair It
  

• Locate and open the EasyAntiCheat (or EasyAntiCheat_Setup.exe)
  

• Click Repair Service

Try going to the to the "EasyAntiCheat" folder inside of the game's installation folder and locate "EasyAntiCheat_Setup.exe". Launch it as administrator and choose 'Install'. Maybe it got uninstalled during the update.
