    When i go to change microsoft accounts on the xbox app it doesnt let me and says cant sign...


    because I have a different Microsoft account than my dad i have to switch between Xbox accounts but it doesn't let me although I have all my saved progress on his account.

    Connecting to Xbox Live on Windows 8

    I have windows 8 and there is an app for Xbox games. I can download games and it let me create an account through my Microsoft account. The app says I am signed in and when I go to play the game it says I need to sign into xbox and when I hit connect it
    then says that cannot connect to Xbox at this time check internet connection. I have all the correct ports open. I have unloaded and reloaded the app. Microsoft said till they have an update to solve this I would have to redo the whole windows 8 because this
    app is imbedded in windows 8.

    Thanks for reporting this, Michael.

    The Xbox app supports signing in with a different account than what you use to sign into Windows. If you open the Xbox App, go into settings, and hit "Sign Out," the next time you launch the app, you'll be greeted with a popup screen that says "Welcome back."
    On that page, there will be a small link present that says "Sign in with a different Microsoft account." If you still have the Tesco.net signin information, you should be able to sign in with it.

    If you see an issue when trying this, please let me know! Hope this helps. :)

    it lets me sign in no problem on the app, but when I try to add the account to my xbox it wont let me and tells me to use the Microsoft account password
