When I changed my gamertag my ea that was says it is still linked to my old gamertag.

I just changed my gamertag and the EA account says I still have it linked to my old gamertag. I haven't changed my Microsoft account at all only my gamertag. I can't get it back since to change your gamertag it has to be under 12 characters and my old gamertag is 14 characters.

changing gamertag does not change it on EA, even though they are still linked, it will display as your old gamertag name, i currently have 3 gamertags linked to my ea account too.

Hello Minikan, when it says you no longer have access to gamertag to unlink the account, does that mean you've lost access to your Microsoft account?

If so, do you even know the email you used to create the account?

Have you ever tried to get it back in any way?

Hello again, only the account owner can link or unlink accounts, even xbox support can't unlink an account for you.

If you have access to your old Microsoft account you can remove the EA from your account, but for the EA it will still be linked.

You can check the accounts that are linked to your Microsoft account by the link below, log in go to the Privacy Tab after you go down the page and search for Apps and Services, clicking will show you all the services that are linked to your account.

simply changing gamertag does not affect EA linking, unless you have started out with a brand new microsoft account.

normally if you change name on microsoft then you need to log into your ea account and change name there too (which is free to do)
