Then, sign in with your adult account here:

https://account.xbox.com/Settings

You'll see your child's account there, select it and in the "Xbox Series X|S and Windows 10 devices Online Safety" section, set all features related to multiplayer, communication and friendship to "Allow".

Make sure that the changes you made have been saved, you can also test by setting everything in the "Xbox Series X|S and Windows 10 devices Online Safety" section to allow.

I have done this and allowed everything and it still won't work. It says 'you cannot see content other people make because of how your account is set up'. How can I change this?

I am currently logged in as the organizer however I go into settings > account > family settings > manage family members and it gives me two options, one is to manage my account and the other is to add another account to the family. There is also no drop down menu when I manage my account.

After making the changes please remove and re-add your account.

REMOVE ACCOUNT​​​

2. Select System > Settings > Account > Remove accounts. ​​​

3. Select the account that you want to remove, and then select Remove to confirm. ​​​

4. When you're finished, select Close. ​​​

2. Select your gamerpic in the upper-left corner of the screen, move all the way down and select Add new. ​​​

3. Enter the Email address and the password.​​​

4. Read the Microsoft Service Agreement and Privacy Statement, and then select I Accept. ​​​

5. Follow the steps to configure your Sign-In & Security preferences to add your Microsoft account to your Xbox console.​​​
