    Hi,

    I absolutely can't connect my Controller anymore as soon as my Headset was connected.

    I facing this issue single time I connect my Headset. I can exactly reproduce the issue:

    If Headset is connected and I turn if the console, the console will turn on again on its own and controller can not be paired anymore, no matter how often I try to connect/sync it. Even if I reboot the console, the connect button on console just won't do
    anything.

    I HAVE to completely shutdown the Xbox by holding down the power button and just then it's possible again to re-sync the controller. It somehow gets out of sync when I shut down the console while headset is connected. (Steelseries Arctis 9x)

    Weirdly the connect button on the console is just doing nothing until xbox is being completely restarted by holding down the button.

    It's obiuosly a bug which I can reproduce every single time. How can I deal with this? How can this be fixed?

    Headset problem

    Try the following:

    • Turn the volume down on your TV or stereo.
    • Disconnect the headset, and then reconnect it firmly to the controller's expansion port.

      Note Never pull on the headset cable when removing it from your controller. Remove your headset from your controller by pulling on the body of the headset plug.
    • Clean the plug on the headset cable with a clean cloth, and then reconnect the headset to the controller.
    • Test the headset by connecting it to a different controller.
    • If you're using an Xbox One Wireless Controller, replace the AA batteries or recharge the Xbox One rechargeable battery.

    To give a bit more info, when I take my batteries out and put them back in the controller connects but doesn't work. If I pull out the headphones from the headset adapter I can't use the headphones but the controller still worked but as soon as you pop
    out the batteries the controller is toast until a hard boot.

    Hi braelynnfiedler,

    Firstly is your headset wired or wireless, if it is wireless you will need to reconnect it to the xbox after a reset as the xbox has now removed anything that was connected to it, if it is a wired headset then maybe try disconnecting the controller and reconnecting
    it again to see if that helps.
