When does the xbox one x get the avatar editor update?

Yesterday we got the update that gave us the new avatar editor on the Xbox One S but the Xbox One X still hasn't had the update does anyone know why the One X hasn't had it yet, when it is coming or if they are rolling it out on a console by console system
starting the Original Xbox One and through the models to One X, i'm a bit peeved that my wife's Xbox One S upstairs got it yesterday but my One X downstairs is still waiting I would have thought they would all get the update at the same time.

UPDATES WONT SAVE TO HARD DRIVE!

The Avatar Editor is something different. Go into the Memory and delete the Avatar Editor files. Clear system cache, restart the console, and open up the Avatar Editor again. Does this help?

 

Xbox Insider Program Avatar Quest

I'm a member of the Delta Preview of Xbox Insiders. I went in the app earlier today and found a quest to create a new Avatar using the Xbox Avatar Editor. In step 1 of the quest it asks that you go to the Xbox Avatar Editor app in the "My Games and Apps"
section, however when I go to that section the app is not there. I've searched the store and only found the old Avatar app. I'm not sure how to complete the quest without the new Avatar app which I'm pretty sure it is wanting me to use. Where can I get the
new Avatar Editor?

I believe the avatar editor is out of beta try look if you can find it in the store if you cant follow these step

1. Login on your one X

2. Add your wife's account on your xbox and login on her account (don't set it as my home xbox)

3. Go to my games and app

4. Go to app and ready to install

5. Install the avatar editor app

6. Log out of her account and login on your account

7. Try start the app (if im right you should be able to get in the app if not go to next step)

8. Go to the app press start and it will say manage game click on it

9. Now you'll see the size but also you can look it up in store and download it then

Is the One S part of the insider program?

 

It probably just comes in waves. I don't think they'd separate the consoles. They are basically the same anyway.

 

Tried all of that but the Avatar Editor App isn't in Ready to Install and it isn't in the store either, staring the original avatar app doesn't prompt for an update or have one ready to install, but thanks for your suggestion anyway, it was worth trying
all avenues.

 

I believe it is and my thought was it might be an xbox insider early release thing but my wife isn't an xbox insider and doesn't have the app, in fact I don't think she even knows about it or what it is.

Basically they are not separating type of consoles when they release an update!

 

Your probably right I remember when we got groups it took a while before I got the groups even though I had got everything else,

 

Is her One S enrolled in the Insider Program? She may not be but if the console was pre owned by someone who is in the insider program and the avatar beta app is installed, she will have it.

Xbox One original, Xbox One S and Xbox One X all can install the avatar beta app, it is not console specific. Check the Insider Hub App and enroll if it shows up for your ring.

 

No it was bought new it was mine for a year before I got the One X then I gave it her.

I didn't think they would which makes it stranger, she just got a 2nd update on hers and I haven't even got the avatar editor yet.

On your X check the insider hub app in Insider Content, that is where you download the avatar beta. It isn't automatically given out.
