When click on xbox button on console, it blinks and immediately turn off... Try everything...

Both yes. But now I'm getting another problem, when I turn my console off, it doesn't shut down immediately, but the power button blinks a few times. Only after the blinking, it shuts down.

Additional info:

When the console is turned off I hold the guide button to turn it on as I normally would (so the console is picking up the controller) but it wont synch, it still just blinks, spins as if loading then blinks again.

What does it mean when your touch power button has a blinking red light on start up? But never starts... xbox 360 will not power on and i feel i tries everything. All the cords are secure, i pulled out the hardware made sure it was dust free. The power brick
is solid orange light that goes green when you try to start the console but goes back orange cause the console turns off after 10 blinking red lights and never powers up at all. What should I do????

To add on to Cokney excellent explanation, after you powered down the console,you might notice that the console does not turns off immediately and the power button continues blinking for a few more minutes.

Read somewhere that this is an indication that xbox is syncing the game saves to Cloud storage. You should not power off your main switch for your console as well as network equipment until the console is completely shutdown.
