    Wheel's ForceFeedback on Backwards compatible titles.


    Games detects the device as a racing wheel but forcefeedback is broken.

    Used to work like a year or so ago.

    Tested with a G920 and also a G27 with drivehub adapter. Again, both used to work fine.

    Problem only happens in xbox360 titles.
    Tested games:
    Forza Horizon 1, Daytona USA, Hydro Thunder, Dirt 3.

    Tested on two consoles. One on Omega ring. The other one is not insider, just with the common retail update.

    For general information. The update breaks all support for Forcefeedback racing wheels, regardless of manufacturer or licensing.

    Unfortunately, they also managed to break all manufacturer's (including their own) forcefeedback racing wheels. None of them work any more, regardless of the game they are used on.

    Wheel of Fortune Xbox 360 game, want it upwards compatible

    The biggest problem with Wheel of Fortune would be the license to the original TV series.

    For Microsoft it would be very easy to take a game and simply make it backwards compatible for the One.

    However, the "Wheel of Fortune" license is owned by CBS TV and Columbia/Sony Pictures. In order to re-release the game as a backwards compatible title this license would have to be renewed. Also, the Xbox 360 title was published by THQ, which went bankrupt
    in 2012.

    With the original publisher being gone, and license rights of the game being in Sony's hands, I highly doubt that this game will ever make it into the backwards compatibility catalog.

    If you really want to play Wheel of Fortune, as quickly as possible, there is no way around buying it natively for Xbox One.

    While it's true that Microsoft wants to make as many games backwards compatible as possible, the biggest hurdle is always licensing and finding the original owner of the publishing rights.

    With THQ gone, there is no publisher anymore that could re-negotiate the licensing rights with Sony to make the Xbox 360 version backwards compatible.

    This is probably also the reason, why
    you can't buy the Xbox 360 version on the Marketplace    .

    I actually kind of glad we aren't seeing them for the One yet. If they are going back to their roots and releasing sim titles rather than arcade racers we need wheel support that we don't have yet.

    We have one mid range wheel, no low end wheel and no backwards compatibility for last gens high end wheels. It would be nice if they dropped the proprietary stuff and let gamers use the same wheels across all platforms. We'd have options in every price range
    and they are already Win 8 compatible.
