What's your experience with the adaptive controller

Hi,

Does anybody have experience with the adaptive controller? What is the learning curve when switching from a regular controller?

I ask this because I will need to undergo surgery because of an illness in my hand (dupuytren disease) and will probably have trouble using a regular controller for a while.

Xbox Adaptive Controller which works with a number of peripheral, allowing a more customizable experience.

 

Adaptive Controller button combinations

With the Xbox Adaptive Controller you can customize your experience. Use the Xbox Accessories app on Xbox One or Windows 10 to further customize your experience through button remapping and profiles. Create multiple controller profiles in the app and instantly
switch between three of them with the built-in Profile button.

 

You'll want to use in in conjunction with a standard controller if you are able to or you may need to by a lot of peripherals. Do you live near a Microsoft Store, you can go try it out.

 

I haven't personally use it but I've seen kids with special needs using it already on launch day so I'm pretty sure you'll get the hang of it in no time and I wish you a fast recovery.

We don't have any Microsoft stores in the area. But it seems to be possible to try it here at a local electronic store.

In the meantime I'm trying to find a controller for rent, this because my hand will be functional after 6 weeks... But I can't leave my xbox alone for so long ;-)

for the adaptive controller there are different ways to mount it and different things can connect to it.
