    whats wrong with my headset and why wont it work


    i have just bought a stealth 600 gen 2 usb xbox turtle beach headset. and for the first 2-3 hours it worked great but now it makes the noise that its connected but it doesn't give me any sound, the first time i used it a notification popped up on my Xbox saying the headset was connected but there haven't been another notification since. I have looked into updating the firmware but it doesn't allow me to, when i try adjusting the tone level on the app it tells me i cant becasue i need to update, but yet it wont let me. Im not sure whats wrong with this headset but im not happy with it because this is my first upgrade in 3 years.

    it wont work via bluetooth as the controller does not pass audio vie bluetooth.

    wired then it technically should pic the headset up as a usb audio device. i normally use either a turtlebeach 3.5mm headset or my mobile phone headset.

    not sure why it wont work over usb though.

    I found out what was wrong. When you connect the headset, press CTRL + R, this will refresh discord, and it will recognize your headset once discord reboots.

    Can't really explain the why, just that it happens and it works.
