What's wrong with my controller?

There are multiple problems with my controller, and is there a way to fix them without getting it repaired or buying a new one?

Problems:

While I am playing any game, every around 3 or 4 seconds the right stick makes me look up in the game, even though the stick isn't moving. The only way I can fix this is to move the stick, but after 4 seconds of not moving it it starts looking up again.

My next problem is that when I am on any part of the home screenscreen, if I try to use RB, LB, or the left stick or dpad to look up, down, left, or right it usually moves in increments of two, so it's difficult to get to things.

My last problem is that when I am on the keyboard, spotify, groove music, etc. it constantly tries to scroll up.

I can't type, nor play songs like this. I have to plug in a PC keyboard just to send someone a message.

Is this a problem with my Xbox One S? Or is it a problem with my controller? Will I have to buy a new one?

edit: I forgot to mention that sometimes I have to push A over 10 times before it actually does what I want it to. Even though it says that I am pressing it.

What's wrong with my internet?

I wanted to play a song with the Groove app at Xbox Live, but when I selected the song I instantly got an error. It says:

The Xbox service isn't available right now. Please try angain later. (status=807B01F4).

I looked at the support page of this error and did everything that was on it. My Xbox Live connection is OK, I tested it. Can anyone help me out?

What's wrong with my account?

Why can't I purchase borderlands 2 with games with gold? When I try to purchase it on my Xbox one, it says I can't make the purchase on the website even though I'm not on it.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. by any chance have you been able to test a different controller to see if the issue persists?

Aside from that, I recommend Updating your controller.

Double-tap the Xbox button to open the guide, then select
System > Settings > Kinect & devices >
Devices & accessories. Choose the “…” and check the Firmware version. If it says there’s no update available, your controller is current. If it says “Update,” follow the steps.

If you can’t complete a needed update, see
Troubleshoot update issues with your Xbox One Controller.

It says that my controller is up to date, but as for using another controller, I haven't tried that yet, I will add the results here when I get the chance. Thank you!

I haven't tried it with another controller (yet), but my keyboard works perfectly fine when I connect it to my Xbox, but only if I turn off my controller.

While the controller is powered on my keyboard has the same problems as the controller.

I'm not sure what's wrong with my controller.

Thanks for coming back. I still believe this issue to be coming from your controller. Especially since it is affecting your keyboard when it is turned on.

If all troubleshooting on the link I provided above has been done then you may need to think about a replacement.

My Halo 3: ODST special edition controller does this too, I find if I plug in a wired headset a few times and jiggle it around it usually fixes it.

I understand that you are experiencing issues with your controller.

I apologize for the inconvenienced this has caused you. I will do my best to help you.

Please replace the batteries because even if they seem fine, weak batteries can cause erratic behavior. Use a fresh pair or a fully charged rechargeable battery pack.

And then use a wired connection by removing the batteries and connect the controller directly to the Xbox using a USB cable. If it works fine this way, the issue is with the battery or wireless connection.

Next is to resync the controller. To do this, hold the sync button on both the Xbox and the controller until the light flashes rapidly, then wait for it to reconnect.

Then power cycle the Xbox. Turn off the console completely, unplug it for a couple of minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on.

After that is to check for interference. Other wireless devices or obstacles might be interfering with the controller’s signal.

It is important to update the controller firmware. Incase you haven’t updated it, connect the controller to the Xbox and check for firmware updates in the settings.

If the issue persist after performing the troubleshooting steps, kindly test another controller to see if the issue is with the Xbox itself or it is the controller.
