    What's with the new Consoles & Controllers?


    I don't mean to step on any toes, so apologies if I do, but what is up with these new XBOX One S's?? I am so tired of getting every S that I get and getting a fan issue in every single one! Every one! It sounds like a very light clicking noise coming
    from the fan area of it. Do they not turn these things on and test them before they put them in the boxes and ship them? I have pretty much stuck to the one I have now (at least until the X comes out since I already pre-ordered it) because the fan is the
    quietest of all the ones that I purchased/exchanged. But I don't remember gaming consoles being put together this sloppily when I was a kid.

    And then the controller that comes with it is just as bad! The back panels that the hands rest against (the ones that you can pop off) are not even flush with the rest of the controller. If I run my fingers across the creases in the back, I can feel the
    panels are higher than the controller body. The LT and RT buttons stick like they are rubbing against something on the inside. I have to play around with the paddles before I use it, just to get them to stop doing it. And this is a brand new one right out
    of the box when I got it from Best Buy! For $279, you would think that these issues wouldn't poke their ugly heads. It might be unfair to ask for something to be perfect, but when I'm spending $300 after tax, I want to make sure that everything is just the
    way I like it when I get it home. I swear if the X has these same problems, for $500, I'm going to be pissed even more.

    Anybody else having issues like this?

    I'm sorry to hear the troubleshooting steps haven't resolved it.

    Now would you be able to clarify if you did try Factory Resetting and Keeping your games and apps as suggested above by Brad?

    If so, in this case I would suggest for you to contact
    Live Support
    for further resolution. It's going to ask if you want help from the virtual agent select
    no thanks, pick the category(Games) and just pick a contact method
    (request a call from support or Chat is faster).

    What's up with my console?

    Hi,

    have you tried to power cycle your console ?

    If not, give it a try. More information about how to perform a power cycle can be found here: Restart or Power Cycle Xbox One Console

    You can also try to delete and redownload the game you having issues with.

    please let me know if this solves the issue or not.
