    What's the point of the HDMI In now that Snap is gone?


    Honestly, getting rid of snap instead of making it an "opt in" app is the worst thing Microsoft could have done. The whole point of the Xbox One was to be a media pillar in your living room, connecting all of your devices in one.

    So with the Snap app completely removed, what's the point of the HDMI In input on the Xbox One X?! I don't need the Xbox to control my cable if I have to constantly switch between the game and the box to use it. That's not efficient. Picture in Picture would
    have been great, albeit distracting during games. Snap was awesome and made the One a system to envy. Now it's a glorified time machine that caters to old content instead of new.

    Cortana cannot "Snap TV"

    Hey there ootmian,

    What happens if you say "Hey Cortana, Snap Live TV" or "Hey Cortana, Snap OneGuide"? The Live TV option via the HDMI In on the Xbox One console is now accessed through One Guide, so getting to it might be a little bit different.

    They took away the ability to snap 2 apps. This is absurd. They are destroying this console. Gesture control is gone, app snapping is now limited to only live TV, controller tracking is gone. What did they sell me, this is not the console I bought anymore.

    What happens if you say "Hey Cortana, Snap Live TV" or "Hey Cortana, Snap OneGuide"? The Live TV option via the HDMI In on the Xbox One console is now accessed through One Guide, so getting to it might be a little bit different.

    Destination Brazil HELP!

    Polls only show if you use the TV app and then snap the Brazil Now app.

    So plug in your DirectTV to the Xbox One HDMI IN connection and load the TV app on your console. Then snap Brazil Now.

    The Brazil Now app won't stream the matches for you.

    The alerts of new matches starting do seem hit or miss right now as to whether you get them or not.

    Netflix video freeze when snapped

    I found a temporary fix if you have a 360 and an extra HDMI chord plug the xbox 360 HDMI into the xbox one

    And then use the Netflix app on the 360

    Go to your xbox one and instead of snapping the "Netflix" app snap the TV app

    And voila

    As much as it pains me to say it, snap is dead and it's never coming back. Even if they wanted to bring it back, it would just remind people of the huge mis-step that was the original vision of the Xbox One console. They're still recovering from that now.

    I loved snap, and used it all the time. It sucks that it's gone :'(
