What's the easiest way to gift my friend Digital copies of Original Xbox Games?

I'd like to buy my friend Star Wars: KotOR, KotOR II and Jedi Academy for Christmas, but I can never find the option to buy those as gifts. Is there a way to do this? I guess I could just buy him a $30 gift card and tell him to use it for those, but I
thought I had heard that gift card balances can't be used for those games. What's the easiest way to do this?

My question is specifically about games that were originally on the original Xbox, not normal digital Xbox One games. Backward-compatible games such as these have different menu options, and "Buy as gift" is not among them.

I feel like you didn't actually read my whole post. Original Xbox games won't let me use Gift Card balances, and I do not see an option to buy it as a gift. So what exactly are the steps to do what you're suggesting?

You are correct, Microsoft account balances cannot be used to purchase original Xbox games. They can't be gifted either. You could possibly get him a Visa gift card or PayPal him the money.

You might want to check GameStop or online for a pre-owned copies.
