The feral ghoul reaver was an absolute nightmare in Fallout 3, and they are much weaker in NV. The standard deathclaw in Fallout is level 12, in NV they are level 20 and plus have a DT of 15. Another thing is that their melee in NV does 125 damage, while
in 3 it does 100 (not to mention their stronger variations, such as the alpha male). Nothing that an AMR + explosive rounds can't solve though.

Anti material rifle w/ AP rounds, if that fails alien blaster (or what ever it's called)

Which is why you'd rather drop one, heal yourself and repeat, taking far longer?

So............... none of you use mines???

Mines are by far the easiest way to dispatch a whole group of death claws in my experience. Just run backwards and thrown them right in front of you. They cripple the legs for you. Just make sure you back up enough so you dont get caught in the blast. One mines
usually cripple a whole group of them when they are running together.

Make you some satchel charges or nuke mines.........You'd be one mean death claw killing SOB without even getting touched.

I dont even use my guns on them dudes. What makes them so damn easy is that they are so stupid to make a B line straight for you, making it very easy to set them up for a trap. Once that mines goes off, they are crippled.
