What’s happened to points on Xbox rewards?

As the title suggests what has happened?

I’m not sure about other gamers but every-time I buy something I feel like I’m being shafted by Microsoft? Before it was games with gold and now that’s gone now it’s the rewards points how are we supposed to earn rewards when the monetary value needed for something pathetic like a £5 gift card is close to £2,500!!!!! For example earlier today I bought Kingdoms of Amalur on sale for £12 (£11.99) and it netted my 9 points let alone I bought dragon age veil guard for £40+ and have yet to even see one reward point for that purchase?

Please can someone address this as it feels like we’re being taken for jokes and seems to be there’s no point in making a purchase anymore as the rewards don’t even compare at all to value given.

Currently, the amount of Rewards points earned from purchases depends on the program level you're in, below is a table with the information.

Additionally, remember that there are more ways to earn points and the Rewards program had changes at the beginning of the year, here you can find more information about these changes.

Regarding the points you haven't earned from your last purchase, it may take a few days to reflect, if you still don't receive them after a few days or if you experience other errors with the service, you can report it directly to Rewards support here:

They're doing maintenance on the feature currently that is why you cannot find it!

Ok, I hope they put that feature back in when they are don. They should have told Rewards Member's that they doing Maintenance in the system.

We were warned for about a week, there was a tile on the Microsoft rewards page.

Your reply is unfortunately flawed, if you actually look at the official response it says sharing of points is no longer allowed. The message Microsoft published was to make us think it was just temporary, but the above email says differently, this is truly untrustworthy of Microsoft, they say maintainance then remove it completely. Just like the xbox live servers, always have party errors sometimes daily, we pay enough money each month got upkeep where is out money going? Oh yeah buying more game studios just to make yet more money.
