What to do if I can't erase or backup?

Hi,

my xbox one s won't power up fully. tried all the various resets and power options but nothing.

got it all booked in to be sent back to Microsoft, but it says in need to erase the HD and back it up. Obviously I cant do this as it refuses to power up properly.

Will this be an issue? Is it safe to return it with all the data on the HD?

Cheers, it was more the personal details that are saved on the HDD i was worried about, but if I want it fixed/replaced then I'll have to risk it.

console isn't even a year old and its a brick. Not happy.

As long as you've been playong online, your game saves are stored on the cloud. Anything else can be redownloaded. So it's fine if you can't back them up.

I bought a wd book,but I'd have to erase all the stuff on it to use it for backup,and I just haven't done it. Maybe I'll take the time to do it soon.

Hey alex, really? Still the same? How odd mate. That's not possible, then, as the last resort, I advise you to do a backup of your files and data on your pc and restore your OS but erase it all.

I already uninstalled then reinstalled the game. In addition, I completely erased all the data of the games that I had on my console, modes, as backups.
