What to do about anti cheat with master chief collection

I recently purchased the master chief collection on steam and for some unknown reason the anti cheat keeps shutting the game down just as I start it up since it says it detects some sort of error or something and I’m not sure what to do?

ah that would do it, windows 7 is no longer supported by most systems now, anticheat being one of them, you would have to update i'm afraid. or play offline using the anticheat disabled option.

Try manually updating Easy Anti-Cheat

For Steam version, go to:"...\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Halo The Master Chief Collection\installers"

Then launch "easyanticheat_setup.exe", click on "Repair Service" and follow the prompts.

My apologies but this does not seem to have worked. Do you have another possible solution?

Never mind apparently the game isn’t running right because it still uses windows 7 ultimate. Is their anyway to solve this without using updating my os?

if you have any rgb software running shut it off, also some mouse software like razor can trigger it.
