What time do it have to be to get your other xbox home switch?

A home Xbox only resides on that one console it sounds as though your friend or someone else that may have access to his account is setting another Xbox to be the home console.

The home console feature is just that for sharing within a home or family it is not meant to try and "game the system" by sharing it out with others like you are doing.

Yes you get to set your Home console 5 times in a year, when you run out you have to wait for the first switch to time out before being able to switch it again.

Even if someone has set their console as home with your account, you should be able to set your own Xbox as home, as console homes can be switched 5 times a year. Do you get any error when you try to. Because you have changed your account password, and
if you set your console as home, other person can not do that again as he can't login.

Is it saying that the account has reached its 5 times switching limit?

If it is saying thins then your friend would need to contact xbox support to see if they can reset his home xbox counter.

You can only switch which console you have set as your profiles home console 5 times a year.

Is it saying that you have reached the maximum amount of profiles that has set your console as their home console?

If it is saying this you can only have a certain amount of accounts that has your xbox set as their home xbox I do not know what that amount of accounts are. So what you would need to do is figure out what profiles have your xbox set as their home xbox and
sign into them and go into settings and check to make your console not their home xbox anymore. There is not anyway xbox support can do this for you.

I recommend setting up the xbox sharing by doing as the others have stated (switching your home account location), if your brother is will to do that. I love it because it allows my girlfriend and I not only to play games together but also share games.
Just be aware that you can only switch your home so many times in a year.
