    What the point of keep my games and apps up to date


    so I come home after a hard day at the old salt mines to sit down and play my new flavour of the month and low and behold there’s a 3Gig update to be done but I think to myself wait don’t I have “KEEP MY GAMES AND APPS UP TO DATE” enabled why yes I do. So
    my question is why the blood hell does it not keep my games and apps up to date. So no playing for me this fine day as I live in Australia and we have crap internet so I’ll be playing this next week then when’s it finishes downloading. Come on Microsoft if
    you say it’s going to do something make sure it does it.

    Auto update games not working

    I have enabled “Keep games and apps up to date” enabled, but every time a game gets an update I have to manually start the game for it to update. How can I make it so the games auto update?

    I have:

    - Instant On

    - Keep games and apps up to date enabled

    - Keep console up to date enabled

    - Keep hard drive on

    Make sure you have your console set to instant on. The updates will usually download while you're not using the console so you'll never notice them.

    If you have "keep system up to date" and "keep games & apps up to date" on - that is what you can expect.

    It tries to do that for you.

    Support did not give that info?

    Having that turned off - and also saving power on(not at instant on) - I have no such issues.

    Are you sure keep my Games and apps up-to-date is on in the updates and downloads section of your settings?

    In settings>system>updates> console/games&apps, do you or did you have "Keep . . up to date" unchecked?

    In My Games and Apps, under Updates, do you or did you have any for The Store or any other green ones for the console?

    What Shaggy said. Putting the console into "Instant On" mode and going into settings and checking the "Keep games and apps up to date" IS the 'update all' option.
