What should I do when my gift card doesn’t work?

I got a 25 dollar Xbox gift card, redeemed it and there’s nothing in my account. I restarted my Xbox and there’s still nothing so I checked my Microsoft account and there’s nothing there but now I can’t redeem the code again. Did I just get scammed out of 25 bucks?

You may have accidentally redeemed the Xbox gift card under the wrong Microsoft account, Raeanna.

Please sign in to https://account.microsoft.com/billing/orders and check if you can see the redemption transaction showing as "completed" or "redeemed".

Once found, just make sure that you're signed in under the correct Microsoft account on your Xbox console to use the Microsoft balance.

I tried that still doesn’t work. I tried a different card, still doesn’t work. I tried using PayPal but it’s still doesn’t work. But it works when I use a gift card to buy items so I don’t know what’s wrong am I banned or smth like that

This seems like it should work bit it doesn’t. Microsoft shoould probably change their gift cards to reflect this issue.

Okay thank you for helping. It would be a shame if it doesn’t work as I got the gift card for a Black Friday deal but I will wait to see what happens

Hey there,

No it doesn’t appear there but when I log in and add my card details I can see what charges have been made.

It is for minecraft: Java & bedrock edition for PC

What should I do next to reverse the charges?
