What should I do if my xbox account is linked to some other Epic Games account?

How do i disconnect my epic games account without the epic games account? i recently went to link my xbox to epic and it said already linked to an account i have no clue what the account email or passwords is I do not know the display name

I don't' know the exact steps (I don't have an Epic account) but what your are looking for is account settings, then connected accounts. You should see your sons Xbox account listed.

There is a way to do it the other way round (i.e. remove the Epic link on the Xbox account). I'm just trying to find the instructions for you if you get stuck doing it this way.

When he has created his Xbox account, he can then link his Epic account (the makers of Fortnite) to his Xbox account.

I wouldn't post personal details on this forum, as no one is able to help with Epic or Microsoft accounts, but we can try and guide you on what you could do that may help.

First place to start would be with your Epic Account. Since it already has one linked, you can access it to

un-link the MS Account currently associated. Those steps can be found here. Before you un-link it, check to see what that MS Account connected is for if you recognize it. If you do, then it's possible it just happened a while ago, but if you DO NOT recognize
it then it's very possible that your Epic Account was COMPROMISED and you should IMMEDIATELY follow the steps here to secure your Epic Account
and make sure you're not responsible for fraudulent charges.

If it was compromised, then you might need to reach out to Epic Games support, which should be able to find their contact info on any of the pages I've linked.

But if you recognize it, then un-link the acct, you should have no issues linking the proper accounts together.
