What is wrong with the Password recovery in Xbox and MSN?

This Support article will assist you. You'll want to change the password or remove and then re-add your password. If you've changed
your Windows Live ID entirely, you'll want to follow those steps.

I think you first need to recover your account, it is possible that in this console not recognizing correctly, first try this:

Ethan, through Microsoft there is only one method for the recovery of an account, for which you must know all the data of that account and prove to the system that you are really the holder of that account, unfortunately no one in Customer Service can help in the recovery of accounts or provide information.

Go to https://account.microsoft.com/. Once there, they must click on the circle in the upper right corner of the screen. Then click login.

If as a user you do not have any of the recovery options connected to your account, you should click on the selection that says "I do not have any of these". When you click on that link, they will be sent to a Microsoft form. You must complete it, including all pertinent information, and Microsoft will contact you and try to help them recover to regain access to your account.

If the user has forgotten their login information, they should go to login. Choose your login options. This will ask you to enter an alternate email address associated with the account or a phone number.

If the user does not have another linked account to help provide account access, it is recommended to create another account. Once they create the account, they must use the new account to log in and select "forgotten password".
