    My xbox one s had randomly started experiencing frames dropping rapidly from 60 to 40 to 30 to 20 and below. Then my 5 month old perfectly working elite series 2 controller started disconnecting (I was playing forza horizon 5 with two of my other friends when this happened). I then said I was gonna hop off b/c I couldn't deal with the issues. I then go to home menu try to quit out of the game and when I finally get it I turn my xbox off by holding my xbox button on my controller then pressing power off. When I power it off right when I'm reaching over the xbox to fully clear the cache it sparks and then I quickly pull the cord out. 10 minutes later I turn back on (off course in a safer environment) and it works good as new other than it not receiving from the controller some buttons I'm pressing. As of right now I have the xbox unplugged and have my older xbox one 2014 white edition hooked up.

    Xbox one not coming on.

    I had a similar issue with mine. It turned out to be that the vents on my power core box were full of dust. Blowing them out sparked my console from the grave. I'm sorry to hear about your console. I hope you can get it up again.

    XBOX SLIM 4K SET UP HELP XBOX CUSTOMER SERVICES WAS RUBBISH SORRY DID NOT HAVE A CLUE NO OFFENCE LOL

    What I did was turn off reciver while tv and xbox one s was running, restart xbox one s while reciver was off, tv was on and hdmi chain went thru reciver, tok the check and all checks went green and everything worked, got HDR and 4k, then i just reset my
    xbox one s, turned on my reciver, and all checked out fine and worked fine still. I have yamaha rx-a2050

    @genchy do you mean right hand side vent? I'm talking about the vent that's on top of the XBOX!!

    The vent is on top on right handside the side powerbutton is on.. I'm not talking about side vents or anything.

    @goatsnatcher, yes I tried turning it upside down even tried lightly tapping it, I can't exactly see how sim card is stuck with out removing vent.

    I found a fix! Blow on the top vent of you xbox one for about 2 minutes, it worked for me.

    So are the slims really better than Jaspers?

    My "S" or Slim never shut down from overheating. I don't like the massive vent on the top as you can see inside it and it just seems like dust will eventually get in there. I have a clean house, but dust still gets in there.

    Other than that, it's all good.
