What is this game like?

Just a quick question to find out peoples views on this game.

What is it like? Is it like skyrim or wow?

I was looking forward to a online skyrim but if that isn't the case I think I will wait for skyrim to become BC

so...what is this game?

I just started this game but I like it alot so far. Its very familiar after a few playthroughs of DR2 but its also different. I really like it. THough I have to say I liked DR2 a lot as well. I liked chucks character and after playing DR2, and the 2 DL stories
i really got to like the character, but now that frank is back it feels cool as well.

already hes got some smart alek remars that make you smile.

 

so...what is this game?

I was under the impression the higher level you got, the thinner you got?

 

its a little diff than skyrim, but all es games are a little diff. its es for sure and ive played hundreds maybe even a thousand hrs of es going back to morrowind, been a paper rpger and a console gamer all the way back to the seventies, its es you can play
with friends

 

always wanted to see morrwind with updated graphics, if you play ebonheart that's where you are, its pretty sweet

 

pvp is epic, but wait times are pretty long, do some research before you choose your home battlefield

 

this game is made to last, its has quest in every town you go, so you will always have plenty to do, aside from those quest you have your guild quest and Main story quest to do also. You can make your own armors and weapons & such, I loved Skyrim and like
Apocacide said this is a little different but ive loved this game since its release with there never being a dull moment what so ever, also the map is huge for this game as it should be.

This game is like heaven, lol okay maybe not quiet, but it plays a lot like skyrim, all npcs have voice acting, quests are exciting, a little like wow but doesn't have the grind fill and you get quest items pretty quickly. Been questing for two weeks and
been having a blast where as in wow I was over quests pretty quick. Dungeons are short but a blast just hard to find people, they have a dungeon finder but doesn't seem to work too well. Hope this helps

 

Wonderfully addictive , very Skyrim but with the addition of other players running around , helping you out at times , crowding around questgivers , occcasionally grapping the same flower /chest you are going for , available ( or not ) to do a dungeon with
you , you can solo , you can group , you can lurk behind a more powerful group tearing through a dungeon in which you alone would get creamed and get the quest done . You can really do your own thing , not sure about end game as im only level 26 , but theres
a huge map and lots to do , lots of skills to level , crafting and if you just wanna explore - its fantastic - if you can cope wth other players running around in" your "world and you enjoyed skyrim or oblivion then I think you'll love it .

 

Just my opinion, I loved oblivion and skyrim but don't quite get ESO as much. The combat mechanics leave a lot to be desired and the quests in comparison to the witcher 3 aren't really enrapturing. The game potentially comes into its own In the cyrodil pvp
sphere. That said im having some issues....

I'm getting quests deep into enemy territory...which could potentially be exciting but it seems to reach them I have to traverse through the wilderness for arguably too long. I was asked to scout a farm and travelled to the nearest shrine, walked towards
it for a good 20 mins and still hadn't got half way there. I loved the exploration of skyrim but this just feels more of a grind. In 3 attempts I haven't reached that farm yet because inevitably I run into far stronger opponents out In the wild. I guess I
just need to level up more, but as I said, the "main" quest lines are just a bit of a slog to get through. What has really surprised me on forums and in reviews is how no one else seems to have issues with the combat. Truely, am I the onl one who gets hit
by NPCs even when they're clearly too far to strike you? Or swinging your sword down on a spider or whatever and it just somehow passes through them?

Very frustrating as this game has the potential to be very good indeed
