    What is the point of Instant On standby on a Series X|S?


    I cannot see the point of Instant On standby, I have my XSX on Energy Saving Standby and it seems to do everything Instant On does, My games update, the dashboard updates and the box comes on almost instantly

    I don't get the initial xbox logo screen when starting up

    Is this how Energy Saving Standby works or is there a bug?

    Yes. The Series X has almost all of the same settings as the One. Instant-on has been renamed to Standby.

    I am having the same issue with my Xbox series X. It seems to stop all downloads when in standby using instant-on. Wondering if this might require an update to fix?

    If the energy mode selected is Instant-on, it's normal to see the Standby on message

    My Series X is turned off as well. (And my energy mode is Instant on)

    Yes remote installations is enabled..

    And yes it's set as my 'home' console..

    BUT... now that i have the xbox turned on (not sitting on standby) it's showing in the list...

    Shouldn't it be able to do it in standby with the instant on feature turned on?? That's the whole point of instant on isn't it? So it can download while 'turned off'

    Xbox one s isn’t compatible with series s games

    Depending on what the game is, if what you bought is for the Series S/X then it will only work on the Series S/X. The One was released before the Series S/X. One games will work on the Series S/X, but not always vice versa.
