what is the issue with wireless connections on Xbox going in and out so frequently?

I have an Xbox One and Xbox X - both have issues with the internet connection dropping or not connecting.

1. Xbox One is obviously older but has the same issue as the Xbox X

2. Xbox X was purchased on 2/19/2022

Both consoles will have issues connecting to my wireless network (I do even have a new router, which has not helped overall with this issue).

1. the systems will both see network connections that are available but will not connect to them. I select mine from the list and input my password. it does not recognize or join from that point. it's an endless loop of trying, restarting, resetting everything and hoping it works. eventually it will but it can take days sometimes.

2. I have tried resetting my MAC from the settings

3. I have tried manually setting DNS to google or other services

4. I have tried resetting my router and Xbox consoles (multiple minutes and multiple variations of order).

5. I have updated or made sure both systems are put to date software wise.

6. I have tried unplugging and plugging back in.

7. nothing else in my house has an issue. work computers, phones, tablets all work fine, no issue; it is only my Xbox devices.

my only thought is they have faulty wireless cards or they just don't work well. Has anyone tried anything else that helps with this issue?

**Edit - I have tried searching and most items point to what I have tried. Both also work for a while but go out without any real issue, they just don't connect. Today, both consoles were failing to connect. I was able to get the Xbox One to connect but still can't get the Xbox X to connect. Both are also very close to the routers, it's not an issue with distance.
