What is that new icon shown under the gamertag on the dashboard?

My son changed his gamertag about a month or so ago. His new GT was shown immediately on his dashboard etc, but still displayed his old GT in games. After several days, it resolved itself and showed his correct(new) GT.

When at the Dashboard, go all the way to the right until under the 'Settings' tab, then do the following:

System > Storage > Your Storage Device > Gamer Pictures (if you're talking about the little icons on your Gamertag) > Press A > Select Delete

System > Storage > Your Storage Device > Profiles (if you're talking about random Gamertags) > Press A > Select Delete

It won't work. Those achievements are written to the game profile/gamertag and CANNOT be unlocked again. You will see these achievements as greyed out icons with a full progress bar under them in the Extras -> Accomplishments option in the main menu. Starting
a new game won't work as there is NO known method of deleting the progress from a Gamertag.

thanks for your immediate help, your are absolutely right, settings under privacy - game content was set to "blocked" after change to "Everyone" my gamerpic was shown on the dashboard.
