what is going on with Microsoft permanently banning victims of hackers getting there accounts?

My activision account was hacked last night. I’ve now been permanently banned for life on cod. I appealed it and they still said no. I’ve put up with hackers for years so it’s feck annoying I’ve been banned due to a hacker.

I play on Xbox but the hacker used PC and hacked my account via battle net.

Does this mean I will need to create a new Xbox gamer account and an activision ID to get back on? My current gamer tag is linked to the banned account 😒

I find it more annoying that hackers now seem to get just 2 week bans,they used to be permanent.

Have fun with it! Its a private match, plus I think activision is a little too busy banning and re-banning all those hackers in older cod titles anyways, they don't realize that they just start new accounts or get mommy to buy them a new modded xbox. Heck
I have at least 3 xbox consoles around the house, plus most of the ones getting banned are the ones who were victims of landing in a modded lobby anywayz. This is what happens with a failed gaming system!

And what about the victim? They have to get repeatedly harassed for the opposer to get a permanent ban, and then they just make a new account and start over again. Meanwhile that victim can develop depression. The system is not efficient for people who repeatedly
abuse people. On Xbox 360, they used to IP ban people so that it was not worth harassing people but the system now is not at all good for players who get repeatedly harassed. The guy who I retaliated towards had his mate start messaging me and it wasn't abusive
but I had no way of asking him to stop or anything and I couldn't report it because he only messaged me once.
