Hello Emily, sorry you are having troubles. The error indicates that after the Windows Update you have a configuration error, likely with the Windows Store and the Xbox Live server.

First you will want to start by resetting the Store. To do that Press the Windows Key + X and type in "wsreset" and press enter. Go make a cup of coffee as it will take a bit. That will likely sync up the store with windows again.

My issue is the same, with error code 0x80048504. Have been locked out since 15/8, and the error applies to both Solitaire Collection and Microsoft Store.

If you are still unable to sign in, make sure that your Microsoft account is added to your PC by following the steps below:

1. Press Start and click on the Settings icon.

5. Launch Windows Store and download Xbox App.  
6. Sign in with your account again.
