    can 2 separate xbox live accounts play via one xbox360 device?

    Hello, my brother and I play offline with two consoles in 2 player games. Our dad purchased one xbox 360 gold live account which we play by taking turns. Our dad wants to know if by buying a second xbox360 gold live account we can both play at the same
    time using the same xbox360 device on two seperate xbox gold live accounts on two consoles. Can someone please confirm if this is possible or do we have to buy a second xbox 360 machine?

    There are several ways you can do it.

    1. If you're using the One, he could buy the gold on his account, set the console as his Home console, and then you would have access to the gold.

    2. You would sign into your account and he would buy the gold directly from your account, but he would have to leave a form of payment on your account.

    3. He could buy a prepaid gold card and you would redeem it on your account.

    Just for clarification, is this a child account?

    Is there issues when attempting to buy a Xbox live gold subscription?

    If this is a " Parent and Child account" then the child account would attempt to buy it then would need permission from the adult account.

    If the child has no safety lock on purchases then the account may purchase the Xbox live gold with no issue.

    The Xbox live gold does not have to be bought as a gift.

    If your Dad is the account with Xbox Live Gold subscription, he must set the console as his Home console. Do not set the console as your home.
