What happens when your power box keeps clicking

I would like to clarify, are you pertaining to the power supply?

Make sure that it is plugged in directly on a wall socket and not on a power surge/strip.

Please try doing a complete power cycle first by doing the steps below.

1. Turn off the Xbox console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds until it shuts down completely.

2. Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 10 seconds.

Important Be sure to wait 10 seconds. This step resets the power supply.

3. Plug the console power cable back in.

4, Press the Xbox button on your console to turn on the Xbox console.

Make sure to connect the console directly to a wall outlet and see if the same issue persists.

If the issue still persists and it happens most of the time. I would highly recommend sending in the console for repair. You can create a repair order using this link, https://support.microsoft.com/devices.

What happens when you click play instantly ? Is the game in your purchase history and have you tried power cycling the console ?

Go to "settings" then "system"/"updates & downloads" & click the "keep my console up to date" box & you shouldn't be kicked out of a game for a console update.

What start up mode you have your console in is up to you,either instant on or power saving mode.

That's how mine is set up & it's in power saving mode & I've never been kicked out of a game for a console update.
