If the case for the item is green it should be an Xbox title. However, for games like GTAV, I'd recommend making sure it's the Xbox One version as the 360 version is not backwards compatible.

Another thing you need to make sure is that the disc is not specifically for the Xbox Series X/S as those games will not play on the original Xbox One through Xbox One X consoles.

That won't be the reason for the disc no longer being recognised on the Xbox 360 console. This is because not only can the Xbox One not write data to discs, the discs themselves are Ready Only anyway.

When you insert BC 360 game into an Xbox One, the disc is checked that it can be read and detects what the game is. Then your Xbox One downloads a digital version of the game repackaged for the Xbox One from Xbox Live. This game is downloaded to your Xbox
One hard drive. The disc is only used to verify you own the game.

I take it your other 360 games work on yours and your friends 360 consoles? You'll need to either get another copy of the game or buy the digital download version instead.

Original Xbox games were backwards compatible on Xbox 360's for quite awhile when the Xbox 360 was in it's prime by simply putting in the disc but I don't think backwards compatibility on the Xbox 360 works as well as it used to since backwards compatibility
has moved on to the Xbox One. The Xbox One can play Xbox original games by simply putting in the disc or you can buy digital licenses.

You can try inserting a disc into your Xbox 360 and see if it works but it may not be supported anymore.
